AKA Road Captain
Tammy Kidd is an Edmonton based entrepreneur and has her hands in several different types of adventure clubs and tours.
This past 2019 summer Tammy joined a motorcycle riding challenge called Matt-A-Lott where your registration fee went towards a local Leduc charity. Tammy set a goal of 12,000 KM’s doubling the previous year of 6,000 KM’s. Well the results are in and not only did she exceed her set goal getting in 28,007 km from May 1 – Oct. 31, she won the challenge with overall most KM’s beating out 45 other participants. Tammy’s passion has gone from casual to stating that “Wind Therapy” has changed her outlook on how life should be spent – give it your all and don’t let the negative take over!
Tammy has been in the tourism industry for over 35 years and in 2012 started her own 4 season tour company Canadian Xtreme Adventures (CXA). In September 2020 CXA is heading to Spain to hit up 8 days of amazing riding - these tours are open to anyone who rides a motorcycle, wants to enjoy the comfort of the tour being setup and meeting some new fellow riders and friends from all over. CXA offers 2-3 motorcycle tours per season but can organize any type of motorcycle tour specializing in the Western Canadian region. CXA also offers tours such as Ski & Snowboard in the winter, for groups, individuals, schools, corporate, If you can dream it, they can plan it. Excited to be offering this March 2020 in North American the World Figure Skating packages in Montreal.
In 2007 Tammy founded Babes on Bikes a Not-for-profit ladies only motorcycle club that is located in Edmonton, Alberta. Proud to be celebrating their up and coming 13th summer, offering several different riding options and experiences for the female riders in the Edmonton and surrounding area.
Babes on Bikes participates in different weekend charity events, Babes and friend’s bikes tours, and so much more. Every season the club seems to gain more awareness and maintains a positive and outgoing membership of returning and new lady riders. With the growth of the club we are able to offer more rides and the ladies get to meet more amazing women who share in the same passion.
Babes on Bikes meets once a week for an approx. 100-160 km ride with set days of riding, different events posted and of course our mission is to ride for Ice Cream.
Tammy just turned 51 and has 3 grown adult children, 21, 23, 28 married with a 11 month grandson. Having the freedom of now being an empty nester, Tammy spends as much time as possible planning her next adventure but of course spending time with her grandson is always at the top of the list!
